For over two hours a banner reading "SEND ELIAN HOME TO CUBA" was flown over Miami by USA/Cuba InfoMed.
In addition to circling over INS building (79th & Biscayne) where the "Committee to Return Elian to Cuba" was holding a protest, the plane carrying our strong and clear message flew over little Havana for approximately one hour. (8th St, 27th-37th)
One InfoMed supporter who was at the INS demonstration had this to say about the moment when the small plane appeared:
"The people just went crazy! They could not believe it. Please pass on to everyone that had something to do with this, that I am personally very grateful for the powerful message, message that most thought never could have happened in Miami."
